Hello and a little card...

Another crafty weekend!
Hello and I hope you've had a fab weekend! I've had such a relaxing one crafting (fab) and catching up with housework (yuk!) The weather here has been really gloomy and wet (another yuk!) But I have made a few cards this weekend. For the first one I wanted it to be sturdy enough to hold a few photos and this is what I came up with:
I've used the lovely 'Soft Summer' set from the mini SU catalogue with the colours Chocolate Chip, So Saffron and Certainly Celery along with some 'Very Vanilla' Grosgrain Ribbon. The embossed background is my favourite Cuttlebug 'Birds and Swirls' folder, it's so lovely to use. I've finished off with a Choc Chip button from the mini catalogue with some gold cord threaded through and glazed the flowers and leaves with diamond glaze.
My next one, another made with 'Soft Summer' I've used the colours Mellow Moss, Choc Chip, and Pretty In Pink'. The sanded background was stamped on Mellow Moss with the same colour ink, then layered with Pretty In Pink, Choc Chip and Whisper White. I've used some of the Choc Chip Taffeta Ribbon along with my Scallop and oval punches for the sentiment.
And finally a birthday card! I've used my fab 'Crazy For Cupcakes' set with some 'Summer Picnic' DP. The colours are Real Red and Bashful Blue.
Sorry for the long post! Thanks so much for looking and hope you have a great week, fingers crossed for some sunshine too!
Hugs xx

Stamp With Us Sunday Challenge...
Hooray! I was so surprised to have made the Stamp With Us fave five from the brill challenge last Sunday, it's a fab feeling! I just have to fathom out how to add the "Fave Five" blinkie to my blog now!
I've also been really lucky to have had a bit more of a chilled weekend and have been crafting lots!
I decided to join in again with the next SWUS Sunday challenge.
This was the inspiration sketch:
And my card:
I've used some SU Summer Picnic DSP with some Real Red. The flowers were from the Pretties Kit and I've added rub-ons to the centre of the flowers, I think these are K&Co. My sentiment is from the Oval All SU Set used with the SU oval and scallop punches.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you've had a relaxing sun filled weekend.

I've been away for so long...
...and I have loads of catching up to do! Firstly I want to say a HUGE thank you to both Alex and Aimes for nominating me for this blog award. Thank you girls so much. You're both hugely talented and I love reading your blogs so I really appreciate this
I've been having lots of fun making a card for the Stamp with us challenge. This is my first attempt and I really enjoyed it. The recipe challenge for this week is to use 1 patterned paper, 2 ribbons, 1 flower and 1 button. For my colour combo I've used Regal Rose, So Saffron, Old Olive and Whisper White. My pattern paper is Stampin' Up 'Tea Party' DSP. My flower is from an SU 'True Friend' stamp set and the sentiment is SU 'Circle Of Friendship' set. I've used some gold elastic cord and Regal Rose Ribbon with a designer button from the new mini catalogue. I've also added some pink and gold crystals for the centre of the flower. I'm off to have a good old blog-hop now and catch up! Thank you so much for looking and hugs xx

Happy Easter
Hello and a very Happy Easter. Hope you've had a fantastic and relaxing weekend with lots of chocolate thrown in too! I've been visiting friends and family here there and everywhere and making lots of these little Easter baskets courtesy of the fab Monica
These baskets are really easy to make and hold quite a few mini eggs (the remaining ones that weren't eaten!) as well as a Lindt Choc bunny and a cream egg! They were quite heavy by the end!
I can't stop using the SU 'Forest Friends' set and it's been really handy for Easter cards. I've also used the Washington Apple designer series papers with some Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Chocolate Chip. Thanks so much for looking xxx

Fab weekend!
Morning and hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather has just been gorgeous here and I started my spring cleaning and sorting out the garden. I Just wanted to share this first pic of our very early morning visitors. For the last couple of days these two have been at my back door waiting for breakfast! They were here last year at about the same time and I couldn't believe it when I heard the familiar quacking last Friday! They waddle off as soon as I open the door with their tray of food and then as soon as I turn they come running back!!!
I've been having loads of fun with my new SU goodies and I love the 'Forest Friends' set along with the 'Tea Party' DSP. Here's the first made with 'Forest Friends' set. The little bird comes from 'Wild About You'. The colours are Old Olive, Ruby Red, Choc Chip and some Whisper White. The leaves have been coloured using my markers with Cameo Coral, Pretty in Pink, and Old Olive. I've added some Choc Chip Taffeta Ribbon, and a Choc Chip designer button from the mini catalogue.
For the next one I've also used the tree from 'Forest Friends' stamped with Bashful Blue. Coloured the leaves with So Saffron, Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue. The card base is Pretty in Pink and the Scallop base made with the Scallop Edge Punch is Bashful Blue. The flowers were from the 'Wild about you' set. Finally added a sentiment from 'Cheer & Wishes' and then some Stripy So Saffron grosgrain ribbon from the mini catalogue. Thanks so much for looking xxx

Busy weekend
Hello and hope you had a fantastic and relaxing weekend. I had a really busy one and didn't have as much time as I wanted to play with my gorgeous new SU starter kit! I managed one card to add to a sample board I'm making. For this one I've used the 'Botanical Blooms' set. The flowers and leaves have been stamped with my versamark pad on to Whisper White Card and then embossed with some gold embossing powder. This has been layered on to Regal Rose and Old Olive Card. I've used my SU markers in Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Old Olive. The Whiper White Ribbon has been coloured with Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose markers to try and achieve a two-tone efffect on the ribbon, not as visible on the photo though! Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have a lovely week.
